USA October 14th Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse will be visible over the USA on October 14, 2023 at 1:55PM EDT in the sign of Libra at 21.07 degrees making the influence of the eclipse felt in this country. According to Traditional Rules for Judging Eclipses by Deborah Houlding:
“Eclipses in Libra corrupt the air and increase contagious diseases, plagues, etc. They bring bad weather, high winds, ‘incline youth to wantonness’, cause religious controversies, and bring division and loss to nobility.“
The ruling planets of the eclipse Venus, as sign ruler, and ruler of the third decan Jupiter, should also be taken into account as being generally peaceful mitigating some of the harmful effects being felt in the country. Deborah Houlding also writes:
“Venus ruling the eclipse has a beneficial influence, similar to Jupiter. … The climate is clear, settled, temperate and moist -favourable for agriculture. It is a time of elegance and abundance, with friendly relations between governments.”
With that being said, Venus is currently in Virgo, the sign of its fall, and opposed to Saturn in Pisces the strength of those peaceful qualities become weakened.
According to William Lilly, in Annus Tenebrosus, he writes that when eclipses are found in the third decan of Libra i.e., the last 10 degrees:
“…it premonishes of high controversies amongst the Nobility, and great Detriment in their estates, much prodigality amongst them, and the extirpation of some one family.”
The influence of this eclipse presages socio-political and economic shakeups effecting the upper echelons of society. We may witness the rise and fall of vast fortunes among the elite and political exiling. In this case, the eclipse will have a maximum total annular duration of about 4 to 5 minutes in some areas across the USA beginning in Oregon and ending in Texas, that is rough estimate of 4 and maximum 5 years of influence.
